At this launch event, you’ll learn how Sydney Impact works, explore the range of activities you can get involved in, and understand how your experiences can be recognised across our award areas of leadership, innovation, community and sustainability. Attending Launch Event is a mandatory part of your program onboarding. Attendance is required to unlock full access to the Sydney Impact Hub.

At this event you will learn more about the Sydney Pharmacy School and what it means to be a Pharmacy student, plus meet some of your teachers and peers, and ask any questions you have about learning at the University. 

At this event you will learn more about the Sydney School of Public Health School and what it means to be a Public Health student.

This compulsory session is designed for international students under the age of 18 commencing studies at the University of Sydney.

The session will provide important information about your rights and responsibilities as an under 18 international student, including visa conditions, support services, and university procedures. It also offers an opportunity to meet peers in a similar situation and begin building your support network.

Attendance is essential to ensure you understand the requirements and support available during your time at the University.

Beginning a law degree is a big step, whether university is new for you or you’re coming back to study. The Undergraduate Law Welcome is your chance to meet other law students studying the Bachelor of Laws (LLB), feel part of the Law School community, and start your degree feeling confident and supported.

As a combined degree student, you are encouraged to attend the Undergraduate Law Welcome and also attend the welcome activities run by your other faculty. Each faculty shares different information, and attending both helps you feel connected across your full degree.

This day focuses on connection and belonging.

You will:

⭐ Meet other students starting law and begin building friendships from day one

⭐ Hear a welcome from key Law School staff, including the Head of School and Dean, and our Law Careers Director

⭐ Visit the mini-expo featuring the Sydney University Law Society (SULS) and others

⭐ Take part in a campus photo challenge to help you get to know the campus in a relaxed way

The program includes short sessions, breaks to connect, and time to settle in. Lunch will be provided at the mini-expo.

Throughout Welcome Week we are thrilled to offer first year Conservatorium students a free Aboriginal Bush Tucker tour in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

This unique experience offers the chance to connect with fellow students while exploring the traditional uses of Indigenous bush foods and discovering how these ingredients have been adapted for contemporary cuisine.
