| Mukashi Banashi Matsuri | Mukashibanashi Matsuri (Mukashibanashi Festival) is a Japanese folklore-themed festival featuring interactive cultural stalls with games, crafts, snacks and drinks. Students are welcome to drop in at any time between 12:00pm and 3:00pm - whether you have a break between classes or some free time during the day. Stay for 10 minutes or the full afternoon! Attendees can write Tanabata wishes 🎋, paint kitsune (fox) masks 🦊, play a (fake) goldfish scooping game 🐟, and enjoy themed food and drinks 🍱 , ranging from ice cream 🍨 to udon 🍜 to onigiri 🍙 and more 🍵! There will be 9 distinct stalls inspired by a range of classic Japanese folklore characters. Mukashibanashi literally refers to traditional Japanese folktales 📜- stories often beginning with “once upon a time” and passed down for generations. So come by to immerse yourself in the rich stories of ancient Japan! This event is for recipients of the MySydney Scholarship only.
Join your fellow MySydney Scholars for a community welcome to the University of Sydney!
We have a full day of exciting welcome activities planned for you. Arrive to line up at 10:30am into the Great Hall for a formal welcome event to learn how to maximise your opportunities at the University of Sydney. Following these welcomes, a complimentary lunch will be provided.
This is also where peer mentoring will begin, so you'll have the chance to connect with your Buddy group.
In the afternoon, you’ll join a faculty-based session tailored to your area of enrolment. These sessions will give you the opportunity to meet staff and receive important, faculty-specific information. This will also include a campus tour, where you and your Buddy group will tour key locations, giving you the opportunity to connect with like-minded MySydney Scholars in your cohort. It's your chance to explore the campus together with your peers and mentors.
Afterwards, you'll head to the Welcome Lounge, where you can join your Buddy group for fun activities and connect with fellow students. We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Sydney! | (not set) |

| Postgraduate Law Welcome | Beginning postgraduate law study is an important step in your academic or professional journey. Students joining Sydney Law School come from a wide range of legal systems, careers, and study pathways.
