Mathematics Revision Workshops

Join our workshops for support in key concepts across MATH1111, MATH1050, and MATH1061. Topics include algebraic techniques, graphing functions, differentiation, integration, linear algebra, and coordinate geometry in three dimensions, and more.

There are two sessions offered: one around mid-semester to reinforce key concepts and one towards the end of the semester to help you prepare for final assessments.

These student-focused workshops align with weekly lecture topics and provide the perfect opportunity to bring your questions and deepen your understanding to the next level!

Are you sometimes overwhelmed by the volume and complexity of reading at university? Are you looking for help to read more effectively for assignments or research projects? This workshop will provide you with some strategies for making the best use of your time as an academic reader. You will learn about a range of strategies, including skimming, scanning, and blocking. You will practice refining your purpose and asking questions of what you read and explore principles of effective note-taking.

Under 18 International Student Welcome

This compulsory session is designed for international students under the age of 18 commencing studies at the University of Sydney.

The session will provide important information about your rights and responsibilities as an under 18 student, including visa conditions, support services, and university procedures. It also offers an opportunity to meet peers in a similar situation and begin building your support network.

🐨 Taronga Zoo  
Get up close and personal with Australia’s unique wildlife at Taronga Zoo. Meet koalas, kangaroos, and echidnas while enjoying stunning views of Sydney Harbour. Taronga Zoo is the ultimate blend of adventure and education, offering the chance to learn about conservation efforts and see animals from around the world. 
A hired bus will transport you to the location and back to Uni. 

🧺 The Rocks Markets & Picnic  
Every Saturday, Aussies head to this market to enjoy delicious food and browse unique, locally made items.
