AI & Healthcare: What is on the Horizon? 🔮 | [PLEASE NOTE: All academics, industry guests, clinicians – please sign up here: https://forms.fillout.com/t/e5WhYBV4kNus]
How will AI change and revolutionise the future of healthcare?
Supported by Student Life Grants, our team of medical students are hosting a panel with food and networking on AI & Healthcare: What’s on the Horizon?, featuring: Dr Aengus Tran, CEO of Harrison.ai, Prof Cameron Stewart of Sydney Health Law, Dr Amandeep Hansra of Australian Medical Angels, and Prof Farah Magrabi of the Australian AI Alliance.
In the past year, the world of AI has been buzzing like never before, with the advent of the transformative architecture that has spawned countless generative models.
🌍 Healthcare, a field that touches almost every life, is destined to be revolutionized by AI. 🔬 It has unlimited potential in basic sciences, clinical workflow, early disease prediction, drug development and personalised consumer health. 👩🔬 Hear from experts across fields - clinical, research, industry, legal, ethics, and investment. 🤔 Discuss pressing questions: "Will robots take my job?" "How do I stay ahead?" "How can I leverage my expertise?" "Where should I focus my attention?" "Where are the exciting frontiers?" “What are the ethical dilemmas?’
As well as this, we’ve invited industry, academic, and clinician guests to encourage discussion and new connections.
We hope to see you there!

Business Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Program | Register Registrations for Semester 2 will open 9 am, Monday 31 July 2023. --- PASS involves weekly hour-long sessions where you work in groups of 10 to 16 students to answer specially prepared activities and problem questions, based around a unit of study you’re enrolled in. PASS doesn’t re-teach or deliver new content. It’s an opportunity to reinforce key points from lecture and tutorial materials while applying your skills to solve problem questions. The atmosphere of the sessions is relaxed, friendly and low-pressure and you’re encouraged to ask questions and raise concerns with content. Sessions are led by trained PASS facilitators, who recently excelled in the same unit of study. The facilitator doesn’t re-teach lecture material, but rather guides group interaction and problem solving. You work interactively with your peers, benefiting not only from group learning but also from the recent experience of your facilitator. As a peer group, generally you decide what is covered in each session. That way, PASS directly responds to your needs and feedback.
