Acknowledgement of Country Workshop

Date: Monday 19 August 2024, 12.00pm - 1.30pm
Location: The Refectory (ABS 5020), Level 5, Abercrombie Building (H70)

---

The Acknowledgment of Country, and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ history and custodianship of Australia, is an important start to understanding the cultural landscape in which we learn and do business.

Start your Study in the Business School with an exploration of what it means as a non-Indigenous student to Acknowledge Country. You will have the opportunity to workshop your own Acknowledgement of Country to use throughout your degree and into your future in business. Empower yourself with cultural competency and respect and gain confidence speaking about Australia's Indigenous history and land, as well as connect with peers and build meaningful connections.

The workshop will be followed by an opportunity to try a BBQ lunch including the native Australian flavours of Kangaroo, Emu, Crocodile, and Bush Tomato.
