Reachout Composition Masterclass Series: Amara Primero
Get excited to learn about composition! 🎶
Have you ever been interested in how music is made and how you could turn your musical talent into your career? The secrets of writing an effective score for tv? The ins and outs of the music commission business? Or how you make it in the music industry? Then come along to our free composition masterclass series!
Two amazing professional composers will each run a two-part masterclass with a different focus - they'll talk about their experiences within the industry, and share their tips and tricks on how to tackle a brief, how to get a commission for a work, and how to truly master choral work.
Joining us for our first masterclasses will be Amara Primero.
Amara Primero is an award-winning Australian screen composer. She is also the CEO and founder of Primerchord Production Music, a music production library with a team of composers providing music for TV, film, documentary, sports, promos, and trailers across a multitude of national and international channels. Check out the Primerchord website for more info and insight into recent projects, and get to know Amara by reading her recent profile in Rolling Stone.
Amara Primero will be joined by Primerchord's A&R Coordinator, Isabella Lavenuta. They'll be sharing their insights and experiences of the commercial music industry, from how to write an effective cue for TV, to what editors look for and how to market yourself as a composer. You will also have the opportunity to write to a brief shared by Amara and receive feedback during the second workshop.
