#3 - How to.....navigate academic culture at the University of Sydney

 

Starting university in a new country is an exciting step, and understanding how academic life works at the University of Sydney will help you feel more confident, engaged, and successful in your studies. From speaking up in class to understanding expectations, learning the rhythms of academic culture here is essential to making the most of your experience. 

In this workshop led by the Peer Support Advisors, (PSAs) we will explore the essentials together: 

 

  • The importance of student voice 

  • Navigating group work & class participation 

  • Communicating with teaching staff 

  • Academic integrity  

  • Understanding USyd processes 

  • Accessing academic support services 

 

We’ll also be joined by a special guest speaker from the Learning Hub and finish off the session by enjoying afternoon tea together.
