Beginning the Juris Doctor (JD) part-time marks an important transition. Many students join the JD after time in the workforce, while balancing careers, family, and other commitments. This welcome is designed with those realities in mind. The focus sits on helping you connect with other JD students and helping you feel part of the Law School community from the start.

This welcome focuses on connection and belonging, while recognising the experience many JD students bring with them.

You will:

• Meet other part-time JD students and start building peer connections
• Hear from current JD students about managing study alongside work and life commitments
• Receive a welcome from senior Law School staff, including the Head of School and Dean
• Enjoy light refreshments

The program uses short sessions and time is built in for conversation, questions, and settling in.
