Exploring Sydney: FASS Postgraduate Coursework

Exploring Sydney: FASS Postgraduate Coursework

Locals lead, Internationals follow!

Join this create-your-own-excursion event that is designed to bring local and international students in your FASS master’s degree together to explore any fun (and safe) Sydney spots of your choice:

  • Sign up to get allocated to an excursion group of a maximum 6 of students from your degree
  • Review the excursion guidelines that you will receive via email after successfully signing up
  • Meet your excursion group on the day of the event to discuss your alcohol-free destination options (eateries are fine to visit)
  • Select your destination(s) as a group and register your excursion with a FASS Student Partner
  • Depart on your excursion (walk, bus, train - make sure you have an Opal card ready to go)
  • Explore Sydney for a maximum of six hours and within a distance of 10 kilometres from the university
  • Check in with a FASS Student Partner at the end of the excursion on a dedicated WhatsApp group to confirm your safe return

If you are a local student, you might want to lead the excursion by recommending your favourite Sydney spots to international students. If you are an international student, you can take this opportunity to get acquainted with your new home city and its public transport.

Most importantly, whether you are a local or an international student, explore Sydney, make new friends, do away with the gap between locals and internationals, and have fun.

This event is open to new and returning students.
