How to...stay healthy in Sydney: Navigating the health system
Office of Student Life
Days can be tough. You might be feeling unwell, or perhaps you have an ongoing health issue that needs attention. In a new country, even knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming — and that’s completely okay. We’re here to help.
In this workshop, we’ll walk you through how the Australian healthcare system works and where to go when you need support. We’ll cover:
- Key differences between your home country’s system and Australia’s and how it fits into the system
- What bulk-billing means and how to access it
- Finding a GP and how to access medical help on campus
- How to use your Bupa OSHC effectively
- Available health and counselling services at USYD
