Welcome to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS)!
The FASS Undergraduate Welcome Program is your essential orientation to prepare for the semester and begin your journey in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
The program begins with FASS Welcome Day, where you will access important information for your studies, meet students and staff, and enjoy fun activities throughout the day.
What’s on FASS Welcome Day?
- Meet Peer Mentors, connect with other first-year students, and chat with friendly university staff
- Learn about planning your degree, support services, and student opportunities on campus
- Enjoy a free lunch, grab your Welcome goodies, and score fun prizes
After FASS Welcome Day, continue getting exclusive access to social events, skills workshops, and connections with peers in your first 6 weeks to help you make the most of your start at university.

Check-in opens at 9:15am and closes at 9:45am

I met a lot of my current friends on Welcome Day where I was introduced to others studying my degree. It was great to get a head start at making new friends, especially when mentoring made forming connections easier by breaking the ice.
