International Student Welcome
As an international student, International Student Welcome Day is your official welcome to the University of Sydney Community. You will experience a traditional Aboriginal dance performance and Welcome to Country. An information session will help you transition to University life with important information on support services and tips to help look after your health and wellbeing in your new home, Australia.
What your day will look like?
- 9:00am-9:30am Line up at front of the Great Hall
- 9:30am Door opens
- 9:55am Door closes
- 10:00am Formal proceeding starts. You'll hear information on support, student organisations, health and safety services, campus life and advice from current students.
- 11:30am Social activities and info booths at the Quadrangle
- 12:30pm Walk over to SUS for lunch and more activities
- 15:00pm Conclusion of the day
If you miss the formal proceeding, you won't be able to join the remaining activities of the day.
The International Student Welcome Day will be held twice on two consecutive days. These sessions will be identical and students will only need to attend one session.
