FASS Undergraduate Welcome and Mentoring

FASS Undergraduate Welcome and Mentoring

Welcome to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS)!

The FASS Undergraduate Welcome and Mentoring Program is your essential orientation to university - including information sessions, social activities, and connecting with senior Peer Mentors and other new students in the Faculty.

What's included?

The Welcome and Mentoring Program runs from Welcome Day to Week 6 of Semester 2.

The program begins with attending Welcome Day on Tuesday 23 July, 11am - 4pm. On Welcome Day, you'll...

  • connect with your own Peer Mentor, a senior student from your area of study who'll support you from Welcome Day to Week 6 of Semester 2.
  • make new friends with other students in your course and FASS.
  • get prepared with important information about your degree, student advice, and support services.
  • meet university staff who'll support you throughout your studies including: your Faculty Associate Dean (Student Life), Student Centre, Learning Hub, Library and Careers Centre.
  • enjoy afternoon tea with students, staff, clubs and societies
  • explore campus on a tour with your Peer Mentor.

After Welcome Day, we'll continue sharing social activities and opportunities for you and Peer Mentors to enjoy through to Week 6!
