MySydney Scholars Welcome Day
Join your fellow MySydney Scholars for a community welcome to the University of Sydney.
We have a jam-packed day full of welcome activities on offer. If you are a MySydney Scholar, register now to design how you want your day to look like.
In the morning, some of the faculties—Business, Engineering, Science, and Arts and Social Sciences— will host faculty-specific welcomes for their respective students. Following these welcomes, a complimentary lunch will be provided.
In the afternoon, there will be the official MySydney Welcome event in the Great Hall which is designed and run by the MySydney Scholar Leaders, your second-year peers. This community welcome aims to get you settled and well equipped for your first year at university. Learn about all the social events on offer and listen to advice from experienced students on how to take advantage of your scholarship and the university’s resources.
Please arrive at the Great Hall from 12:30pm. Doors will close at 1:00pm for the official start.
After the MySydney Welcome event in the Great Hall, there will be opportunities for you to meet and socialise with fellow commencing students who are just as keen to make friends.
A light snack and refreshing ice blocks will be provided at this time.
The day ends with the MySydney Faculty-based Campus Tour, where you can join your peers for a stroll and conversation. Explore significant areas, including the MySydney Lounge, where fun activities await.
