Welcome to the School of Architecture, Design and Planning!

Join us in all the fun we have planned for ADP's Welcome Day as you kick start your studies with us.

  • Hear from our Dean, Associate Deans and Program Directors as they introduce the School and your courses.
  • Come along on a friendly tour of our building facilities led by our own ADP student mentors - ask them any and every question you can think of to test their knowledge!
  • Experience a traditional Smoking Ceremony.
  • Meet your peers, academic staff and societies at our Undergraduate networking and society events.

MySydney Scholar Morning Tea with the Dean
MySydney Scholar students are invited to a morning tea for a networking session and meet and greet with the Dean.

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Faculty Welcome Talk
Join us and hear from our School's academic and professional staff as you commence your academic journey at ADP:

Undergraduate Degree Introductions
Undergraduate students are invited to attend this session to hear more about your degree from your Program Director. You will also hear from the Student's Representative Council (SRC) - the peak representative body for undergraduate students at USYD.

Undergraduate Student Lunch and Networking
Following the Undergraduate Degree Introductions, you are invited to take this opportunity to meet your Program Directors. Light lunch will be provided.

Society Event run by Sydney University Designer’s Association (SUDA)
SUDA are hosting a fun and exciting session - come along to participate in the inaugural spaghetti and marshmallow tower challenge.  SUDA is a faculty endorsed Architecture society, aimed to promote student advocacy within the faculty and hosts a range of social events throughout the year. This will be a great chance to be introduced to SUDA and build connections with your peers.
