We look forward to welcoming you to the Faculty of Engineering and to your school. Join us either online or in person to help you best prepare for your university life with us.

At our faculty welcome day on Thursday 27 July 2023 you can:

  • Meet your lecturers, staff, and peers from your school during your school welcome.
  • Learn about your discipline, including some key tips for academic success. Academic advising will also be available.
  • Learn about the PG Connect program - meet new people, start making friends and build your network. Be guided and supported by senior students as you transition and begin your studies.
  • Attend Lab Zero to familiarise yourself with university systems
  • Join us at the Faculty Postgraduate Welcome Reception - to celebrate the start of this next chapter of your careers

The day begins at 12 noon and will include the following sessions: 

  • Lab Zero - This workshop will explore commonly used university systems (Ed, Canvas, CUSP, Sydney Student, etc.), set up the integrated development environment for your computing subjects, understand subject selection and timetabling, and more!
  • PG Connect and Lunch – Meet your peers and connect with senior students who will support you as you transition to postgraduate studies.
  • Faculty of Engineering Postgraduate Welcome - Hear from the Engineering Associate Dean of Student Life and a panel of students on how best to get started as a postgraduate student.

You will then choose your school and attend the relevant school welcome session.
