Sydney Uni Young Vinnies Winter Sleepout | This August, Vinnies Community Sleepouts will take place across NSW to raise awareness of the realities of homelessness and funds for Vinnies homelessness services. Each night, over 116,000 Australians experience homelessness — 50% being women and 25% under 18 years old. By listening to eye-opening stories, participating in activities, and ‘sleeping rough’ for a night, Vinnies Sleepout participants can gain a unique insight into the complexities of homelessness. All funds raised will be donated to the Marian Centre which is a crisis accommodation and case management service for women with children who have experienced domestic/family violence and/or homelessness.
